A new era for me

Today I got my package from the post office, a pair of Dutch clips and a pair of cinch buckles. I have never used any of these things before, so here goes. I spliced a loop of 7/64 onto the buckle with a whoopie hook in the loop. This is a bit of a job if you are doing all the wraps and still trying to keep the loop short, but I did it. So now my hammock straps have a Dutch clip on the end, and a cinch buckle on the strap, and only time will tell how I will like it, but it looks good now. I look eagerly forward to an easier adjustment of my straps, hope this is it.

I think you're gonna like it a lot better than the elephant trunks. Adjusting is gonna be a cinch.

Hey guys, give him a bit of slack, with the whoopie hook attached to the cinch buckle, it does everything the elephant trunks do, only easier.
