There is a really great site that is totally focused on gear tests.... If you have not been there, recommend that you visit Backpacking Gear Test, or simply BGT...They have been a round for several years....Their claim to fame is. "The most comprehensive interactive gear reviews and test on the planet".

Their tests cover the full gambit of hiking and camping gear....They are well organized and generally have three testers doing three test reports each on every piece of gear tested....Initial test, Field test and long term test reports...

Your welcome..... BGT really is a great site.... They are also testing tarps and the Mt Washington UQs ... under sleeping bags section I believe.
