I never had much luck using the rolled hem foot on nylon, it seemed too thin and slippery. When I tried it on cloth it worked ok, but I prefer doing it by hand.

They take a lot of experience. I would invest in pins instead.

I have lots of experience...at sewing crooked seams
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
I bought a rolled hem foot for my thread injector and never liked it. Maybe I just don't sew enough to get used to it, but I can sure do a better job just rolling the fabric myself.
Lost, I've enjoyed your vid's on finishing your underquilts. Here's a request... a vid showing you doing a rolled hem sans rolled-hem-presser-foot. Every time I try it looks like crap. However, the presser foot seems to work pretty well for me, although it's only 6mm. I need to find one a little wider.
A lotta ins... lotta outs... lotta what-have-you's
Forgive me, for I am not "Lost"....however, here's a vid I just did showing how I do a rolled hem by hand....Magna Fabrics 30D ACU ripstop nylon, 1/2" hem, 13.5' in ~5 minutes....feel free to not watch it all.
You need table room in front of the sewing machine to hold down a long section of hem at a time. If you are using a table top machine, I suggest you use a thin box or book the correct height as an extender.

Hope this helps.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
