Hey everyone, I've been tossing around the idea of switching from tent to hammock camping for a bit over a year now. I ran across a Shug video (as I'm sure many of us have. ) by chance and couldn't help but to become completely intrigued with the whole concept. I have spent many (MANY!) nights on the ground and have had water run into my tent from hard rains or that one rock I didn't see to clear out from underneath my tent. I have always slept enough to enjoy the next day's hike but, have wondered if I got a better night sleep or a more convenient space for cooking meals if my trips would be that much better. So, from there it was a decision whether to ease in and test the waters at the shallow end of the pool or walk up to the board and jump straight into the deep end...Not being a ease it in kinda guy I'm jumping off with an order to Marty (supporting HF dealers and NC!) and Dutch! Cheers to everyone here and for giving me many night shift's worth of info to read for the past year. I'm a picture/video kinda guy so I'll be posting pics and vids here soon hopefully. Thank you again for the inspiration and introducing a new way to enjoy the "Piney woods" (Credits to Shug for introducing a new addiction) Looking forward to running across some HF members that attend hikes at Linville and around Pisgah.
Best regards,
Robert... (Ducninja79)
