vertex cocoon mode in the cold

I can not wait to do some cold weather hanging it will be my first time, here is my question. I have the Vertex tarp for my nx250 would there be any appreciable benefit in putting the tarp in cocoon mode to retain heat? I have the Griss beaks, I usually like as much room under the tarp as I can get.
When I was a kid the only time we were in the house was to eat and sleep.

Closing down the tarp (any tarp, be it a clark or any other brand) blocks the wind and in effect traps the heat.
But it also traps all the moisture, so condensation can become an issue. Your tarp will be wet on the inside by morning. Play with your set up by venting on or both ends slightly to alleviate the condensation issue and block as much wind as possible. Its a balancing act.
