    Pack down size of TQ/UQ?

Just getting ready to buy my first insulation setup and I'm trying to get an idea of what a compression sack with both a TQ & UQ will roughly be size wise. I did a quick search and it was a bit hard to determine via the pics I saw. Anyone have a good pic of their stuff packed down? Or maybe able to post a size comparison pic?

    Thanks.

    Pack down size of TQ/UQ?

You might find some help here. This is my UL pack list.
The UQ is the warbonnet 20F 3-season under quilt.

Re: Pack down size of TQ/UQ?

Nice post Phillip. I would like to add that when I bought my first tq and uq I was shocked at how small it packed down. For what its worth...

My 20* HG burrow (long) and my 0* HG Pheonix (3/4) fit together in a 15L compresion bag. Still soft and malleable when uncompressed.

Here is a link to thread where I took some packed photos of my HG 40 degree Incubator.

And here is a little photo review of my WL summer quilts and you can see the stuff size

30L Granite Gear compression sack holds my 20* UQ, 0* TQ, underquilt protector, whoopie suspension & tree straps, storm bug net, inside sliding cover, and head sack. When packed, it fits inside my Granite Gear Victor 60 backpack with room left for clothes, cook kit & food. The tarp rides in the outside mesh.

My custom UGQ 20* Zeppelin (made longer and wider) and my JRB long-length Sierra Sniveller both fit easily into a medium size Sea-to-Summit e-Vent dry compression sack which is 14l maximum size; 4.5l minimum. I'd guess it compresses to about 8 or less liters with the UQ and TQ in it.

    Take it easy,
