Does anyone know of a place to pick up 1/2" polyester webbing for a bridge hammock locally in Minneapolis / St. Paul area? I have a trip planned next week and would like to take a bridge hammock.

SR Harris has a selection you might find something there. Near the door as you go in, in a bookshelf kinda thing. The interesting hammock fabrics are way to the right against the back wall, just left of the aisle you take to ge there
I do mean all the way to the right after you've gone in about 20 feet. No straight aisle either, just keep heading in that general direction. They have tulle too but ask for it. It is against the front wall maybe 2/3 the way to the ripstops.
I never found mosquito netting, let me know if you do.
Ignore the other customers. They resent men in their domain. They'll just glare and snarl a bit, and expect you to know to do any heavy lifting of bolts without being asked..... It's a trip and a half.
Good luck!
Thanks, I will check them out. I bought some material from them for my gathered end and was going to head up there for the bridge, but I did not remember seeing any webbing.
I looked for some no see um netting but did not find it. I ended up using some fine mesh for my under quilt. They looked are me pretty funny when I asked for it. Not so sure they knew what I was talking about.
REI might have what you're looking for.
StrapWorks is right next door to you. I'll bet they could have some to you by tues-wed. Here> 1/2" poly >> http://www.strapworks.com/product_p/pewsc12.htm
Thanks, I will probably order up some webbing and have it ready for the next trip. Has anyone made a bridge hammock just using amsteel and no webbing on the sides? I have some 1.9oz ripstop that would be nice to try out and see if a bidge would work out better for me.
