Load limit on Warbonnet 1.7 oz Blackbird

I've looked in many different places, but I can't find any listing for the load limit on Warbonnet 1.7 oz Blackbird. I read in a recent review the 1.1 oz was rated for 175#.

However, I range from 220 to 260 depending on time of year (end of school in May is close to 260; after a summer walking, I'm more like 220).

I use a Hennessy Expedition rated to 250 and have never had any problems, even when I was in the 260 range. Would the 1.7 oz Warbonnet Blackbird with with the webbing cinch system be safe at that weight?

My thought would be a double layered 1.7 oz...that would be good to 300+lbs

    Hey Bearpaw,

I've got a double 1.7 BB with the webbing cinch system.... when I first got it, I weighed right at 270 pounds, and it held up fine.... I conferred with Brandon before ordering this hammock for the same reasons you said....

If I'm in town for the May hangout, that's the hammock that I'm bringing.... Along with the SnugFit and the MacCat SpinnUL Deluxe tarp....

BP, Do not worry. I have the 1.7 dbl, and I have no problems. I weigh 252 +/- 5 lbs. I have not noticed anything to worry about.

I have used the HH UL EXP for a couple of years, and used BPULA at 220 lbs.

Brandon suggested the 1.7 dbl to limit streching of the fabric.

Not a direct answer to you load limit question about the 1.7 oz BB. But here is what WBG replied to one of my questions about the load limits.
