    Anyone seen these pads?

    http://www.knoxfoam.com/cgi-bin/Soft....htm?E+scstore

How compact do you think the CC005 Brownish-Gray Medium - 1 1/2 " Thick x 48 " x 82 " will wrap up? I can cut this puppy to fit the hammock and stuff it in a bag liner and be golden. What about some of the other pads here? I'm looking for something to put under an SPE and then stuff an SPE with one more pad, but if this 1 1/2 inch guy can do the job by itself?

I called the company and asked how much this thing will roll up to and what the dimensions will be, they'll get back to me tomorrow.

i put knoxfoam in the google machine. i'm assuming your talking about memory foam.
if so, i know it feels great, but that's some heavy stuff.
i have thought about using a small, thin piece on top of my neck pillow though.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

    ok... they have ccf too.
sounds like they make it soft, medium, & firm.
i'd like to try out some of those in person... maybe a 2" thick medium or soft. i wonder what that would be like?

    that would be great!
considering that ccf is the best r value per weight & i've never seen it offered in more than 1" thickness, that's got my curiosity up.

I wonder what the weights are. 1.5" thick is way more than I will ever need. It would also add a lot of bulk to your pack. Might be a good cold weather pad alone option.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

I'm tryong to find out now how compact the 3/4 and the 1.5 inch one will roll up, but if Frolicking Dino can eyeball some that would rock. These people aren't overly helpful on the phone.
