Attaching quilt hooks

I bought some of Dutch's quilt hooks and thought I'd see what ways you guys are attaching them before I got started. I know it's pretty basic but I haven't done much DIY with hammocks and am a little paranoid about taking needle and thread to my gear! Anything in particular I need to use or pay attention to? Anyone have any pictures?

I've got some thoughts but never attempted so I'll site back and watch as I'll be tackling a DIY Sewn PLUQ at some point.
