Actually, Warbonnet offers special mods, at no cost, for bigger guys. All you have to do is give Brandon your weight and they will replace your stock spreader bars with beefier ones.

I'm 6'4", 230 lbs, and the ridge runner fits me just fine! (awesome hammock--I highly recommend it!) Even though I started out with gathered end hammocks, Ive gone totally to the bridge----so much better in my opinion! If you are a DIY guy, they are actuallly pretty easy to make. I just made another one---if you want the dimensions PM me. You can easily make one for under 50 bucks (including poles) Another plus about the bridge, an UQ fits really well --much better than on a gathered end hammock!

FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

The benefit of DIY cannot be understated for out larger brethren. Like GE hammocks, a bridge can be made of whatever material you prefer, and the dimensions can be tweeked to allow for wider shoulders, etc. Quest outfitters has beefier poles than the standard that can be used. I have several DIY bridge hammock threads that could be adjusted accordingly as needed and there are wonderful instructional threads by Grizz, TeeDee, and others. As others have stated, I suspect you could get Brandon to beef up a ridgerunner if desired. I personally love the ridgerunner and have either given away or laid aside my own creations in favor of Brandon's.
