    Flying Squirrel Hammock

    Set up my wife's Ridge Runner so she could play with it this afternoon. Kind of windy and the hammock and saddlebags were flapping and undulating pretty good.

    Thought that it looked like a flying squirrel so now her hammock has a new name

    That is the SL without a bug net. Bought it from another member a few months back. Its just the right size for my wife. Plans to use it as her afternoon nap or day hike hammock.

    She asked if I was going to get one. Told her that no as I am too heavy for any that Brandon makes.

    I saw a flying squirrel once. He was standing on the ridegline of my HH one morning yelling at me to wake-up. I gently reached up behind him and pinched the ridgeline. Slowly I drew the ridgeline down while he was busy barking away. When I released the ridgleine;

    I have two pier pilings (about 7-8" diameter and about 14 feet tall) sunk 4 feet into the ground and backfilled with dirt.

    With the Pecan tree as the base of the "V" I can hang up to 3 hammocks. Been thinking about adding a couple of more pilings.

    I started with 4x4 posts put they broke while I was hanging from them.
