I use a light from the $1.00 Store or Dollar Tree. I have used it several hours now and it is still working at least 100 hours and still counting.

I also have the Niteize, ziplit, spotlit, my favorite the bug.

Oh, I bought the niteize from Fred Meyers (local department store) for under $4.00 USD. Home Depot also from $1.98 - 4.99 USD. The local outdoors big box chain starts at $4.99 on up. REI about 10% higher than anywhere else, plus mine burnt out after about 3 hours. I won't buy from REI again.

Nite Ize SpotLit...provides enough soft diffused lighting to be useful hanging on a ridgeline.

picked up a light from harbor freight for $4.00
    http://www.harborfreight.com/27-led-...ght-67227.html

Has a bright light with the 25 led's on the big side and a smaller 2 led mode on the bottom, plus a hook to hang from my ridgeline.

Re: Looking for a mini LED light for my hammock

I use a Krill light on my Ridgeline. It's like a glow stick but battery powered... Not the lightest thing, & I found it in Iraq so Idk the price.

I put in 2 AA batteries in 2009 & have yet needed to replace them! Its bright enough to light up everything in the hammock, but not obscenely bright. I also hang it on any tarp guy lines while everyone is still up, to prevent any tripping & also to make it easy to find in the dark!

those lights are bright and if you get harbor freight coupons in the mail or email you can get it cheaper. I paid $ 1.99 ea for the 2 we have

I've used the Nite Ize zipper pulls as well as the Streamlight Nanolight.

Like the Nano light when bright light needed.
