Are you coming from VA? That's a nice little trip for you, but I think this hang is worth the trip.

Also, there are many folks coming from those states up there. It's a large group of many states.

I'm paddling the Calusa Blueway with the Burnham Guides at the end of January and decided to make a few weeks of it! Spending some time in the Keys between the 2 events.

Wonderful weeks of yaking and hanging ahead. There are a few scheduled kayak trips guided by Andy in some of our Springs. Check out the planning links in Gumbo's intro page.

Buck Lake is also big enough to have some fun in. I'm trying to come up with some kayak races we may do on the lake.

Some of my MAHHA friends are thinking of flying down for the hang! I would pick them up and take them back to the airport. What are the drive times to the closest airports, if you know?

There are 3 major airports that are just about equal distant to Buck Lake, Orlando International, Daytona Beach International, and Gainesville Regional. All about an hour away, although Daytona Beach International is more of a straight shot to the campgrounds. Of course there are dozens of smaller airports available for charter flights and private aircraft around, even one about 7 miles away.

Alliance Air (cheapo airline) flies into Sanford Airport. ~an hour away, maybe a bit over.

Alright everyone, time to get myself in gear. We will be ordering the patches soon, so if you are planning on attending FH4 please make sure you signed up on the spreadsheet so I order enough patches.

To date I have had only one person purchase advance raffle tickets and one donation to the hang.

Im really excited to get back out in the woods with my fellow tree dwellers.. Last time I believe was the first florida annual hang... It was simply awesome... Great people .. Great food.. and the temp got down to 20's .. Just an awesome trip! Im so excited!
