I wanted to post a link here in case anyone was interested in doing any extended hiking in ONF before/after FH4.

Also, chuck and I will be looking for a lift north up SR 19 on Sunday or Monday to assist us with our hike.

Give them your itinerary and they should provide a shuttle service just about anywhere in the ONF.
I'm not sure if Charley is still driving the truck about, but if he is your in for some great stories.
I previously worked in Salt Springs @ Marion County Fire Rescue, St#15 and I would arrange through buck n bass a shuttle a few times each month, from Oct-May.
They were always accommodating.

On Sunday and Monday the Kayak groups are heading out. You two could probably get a ride out with us.

Thanks, Gumbo. We're looking to get further north than where you will be heading. Hoping to catch a ride with someone leaving and heading north on SR 19. We want to get up to the Fl Barge Canal.

Got the diy under quilt out for a shake down. And I'm in big trouble. My set up will not make it below 40º. Ill have to double up for this hang. I love the no underquilt hangs. This sucks. To be totally fair it did get to sub arctic temps here in florida 36º last night. Holly crap was it cold. LOL.
