When it comes to my hiking toys I never sell anything. I never know when I will need it. Drives the wife nuts. I have like 4 huge plastic tubs I bought from walmart to keep my items safe. She will say you can not carry all that at one time. Then I go into a huge conversation. Its not about havng it all at one time different weather, conditions determine what I need to take its always changing.

When I bought my knife which is and ESEE I think I paid like 140.00 or something for it. She was like OMG that much for a knife. Well honey there is no walmart back in those woods. Last thing I want is it breaking.

Now all she does when I buy something is shake her head. LOL Been many debates over things I have purchase.

Awesome! Do it right the first time and you'll never miss that $420...especially after years of quality use and enjoyment.

I even spent some time looking at this

The matrial is super light but I really do not like the looks of it. I know the animals do not know. LOL The price tag of 1800 scared me too. Going to pay that much it better look really good.

But even the packs I didnt like the looks and the noise they seem to make.

    Original Gear:
    Walmart Tent $25
    Coleman Sleeping Bag: $25
    Total Cost: $50

    Current Hammock Gear Tally:~$600

I wish the above made me more sad, but it doesn't.

I stopped counting after around $1500 ....that was over a year ago. I am afraid if I added it all up the shock would kill me

Shock isn't remotely on my list of fears for this topic.
Genuine Draft knowing the total is far more frightening of a situation. At least with shock, it would be over quickly. We have acreage and a basement; I'd be hosed.
