    New Dude from UK

    Hi Folks,

Just joined today & based in the UK though spent about 6 of the last 16 years in North America.

I teach Bushcraft in between projects & love to hammock camp when I can, so was really glad to find the forum here.

I currently make old military-style Zoot Tops from British Army parachutes & looking to make some good, strong lightweight hammocks from the same materials, so any guidance on patterns, methods, etc is always welcome.

By the way, in case anyone is heading to the UK on a trip, then I'm always up for a brew (coffee/tea) if you're passing. I'm about 50 miles NW of Birmingham & close to the Welsh border, so drop on in if you're in the area.

    Cheers,

    Dave

    Welcome!

I thing you should post some photos of the Zoot Tops, they sound interesting.

    Enjoy yourself!

Welcome from Nottingham, i used to have a zoot suit years ago, it got well used on exercise and ops, but i have managed to misplace it on during one of my tours to Afghan, where i am sat.

    Hi Royal,
You're in good company then. A close pal just returned there this week as a PSC & even he hasn't got one yet, but as mentioned when I get seamstress issue sorted, be happy to help you out.
    Meantime, stay safe out there

    Thanks all.
Never been to AB (sorry) & never left an airport building in NC & Brissy but hope springs eternal.
Re: Zoot Tops Such, will happily post when I get my current seamstress issues resolved mate. Stand By One
