    Hey everyone viper here!
I am wondering what your guyses hammock rigs weigh? Tarp, hammock, bugnet, TQ/sleeping bag(whatever you use) and UQ? The total weight if your whole rig?
I don't have a UQ yet still trying to figure out if I wana make one or buy one first.
Just curious of how much your rig weighs! And wana say what your using? Tanks guys!

    Hammock set up weight?

40 ounces. That is in stuff sacks ready to go in pack and on a tree. Tarp, hammock, and bugnet

Top and bottom quilts are 29 ounces total in stuff sacks.

    Edited- so 69 ounces total.

Wow do pretty light set ups! Hmm do TQz weigh less then a good sleeping bag in general? I have a 500$ Kodak 800fillmdowm 0 deg sleeping bag but if I remember right it still weighs around three pounds.

My top and under quilts together weigh 27 oz. but they are considered 50 deg. quilts. I supplement with clothes and a Mylar space blanket slipped between the bottom of my hammock and my under quilt if it gets much below 50. I won't be comfortable if the temps dip below 40.

Usually TQ will weigh less just because they don't have the weight of the layer underneath you, or the zippers/hoods/pull cords. I also find them to be warmer and easy to work with. They are warmer because all of the down is on top of you where you can use it. And easier to work with because if you get too hot you can quickly and easily get in and out of it.
