This is the response email I got from Harrisonburg/Shenandoah Valley KOA Campground. I have yet to respond to this email but will shortly.
Hi,
Glad you asked,
We have one bath house.
Mens: 2 urinals, 4 toilets, 3 showers
Ladies: 6 toilets, 3 showers
We have 'on demand' water heaters so hot water is unlimited
We have fresh water on the property, no filtration needed. If your program requires filtration exercises, we do have a stream from which you can draw water.
We have a total of 32 tent sites and an additional 32 water/electric RV sites that will accommodate tenters
All sites have fire rings and picnic tables
We are in the woods and have fairly dense tree coverage. I am not familiar with Hammock Tents requirements.
We also have 30 non developed acres where you can camp. There are no fire rings or tables in the undeveloped area.
We do have an open air covered pavilion with a large charcoal grill, tables, electricity, TV, lights and ping pong table
Do you live in the area? Can you come out to visit my place and see if it meets your needs?
We do plan to have "Family Fun Halloween activities...appropriate for all ages" on the weekends in October.
BTW, we are adjacent to the George Washington National Forest where you can hike for miles and miles.
What type of group are you representing?

I understand that this may not be the most suitable location for everybody but demographically its pretty close to central Atlantic. I'll keep looking but doubt that it is possible to please everybody. There is always going to be someone who will have to drive farther than others. Right now I will be happy to find a location in which the organizers are close enough to, to be able to reach the location and coordinate everything. Not to mention just finding a place that can accommodate our needs.
It's probably closer to you than me.. lol... I live in the SouthEast corner of VA. The one near Richmond is fairly close to me but I didnt pick it because of its location, I picked it because they responded saying they could handle us.
Just doing what I can to find a location...Not everyone lives in the NorthEast, so Virginia seemed like a good central location but feel free to start shooting out emails to the local campgrounds and see what you can find up in the NorthEast...I'm fine with it being held wherever.
Personally I like the Virginia locations. I live in NoVa. I understand the further south we go, the harder for the northern folks. I'm not exactly sure what areas are included in "mid Atlantic".
Since many of us are backpackers. That is why I am thinking about locations that may have undeveloped woods for us to use. Most campgrounds dont seems to have groups sites for a hundred. We may not be able to build ground fires but possibly some could bring portable fire pits.
