I think I know what you're asking and it's about BARE SKIN
I sleep w some bare skin directly on the hammock, but I do sometimes sweat on my hammock. I have a DIY gathered end, nuthin fancy, so I figure if it ever get's to the point of sweatiness that it is grossing me out, I'll just wash it. Don't know if you can easily wash your hammock.

Hey Lat. You'll get used to the hammock eventually.

    • In the summer, I'll always wear at least a pair of briefs and maybe a t-shirt.
    • In the winter, I'll add my light wool sweater (if it's dry) and/or my mid-weight
    • In the winter, when the temperature really dips, I'll often fold my wool army blanket into a 3' pad to give a little extra warmth to my butt and the small of my back. (Note: Wool blankets are bulky/heavy and so far I've only brought them if I'm pulling a toboggan)

When I've slept it's usually in a t-shirt and pajama pants.

When it's particularly hot and humid here in KY the nylon can be a bit uncomfortable and sticky.

My next hammock is going to be a dual layer with 1.1oz/yrd^2 ripstop and 5 momme Habotai Silk (~0.6oz/yrd^2). I'm hoping the silk will add a bit of comfort to the hammock, with minimal weight. Should still be lighter than my current 1.9oz/yrd^2 hammock.

I sleep in as little as possible and add if needed, I do sleep against the hammock but hate it when I stick to it when it's hot and muggy out. So I wear the lightest shirt and a light weight pair of shorts in summer to try and keep from sticking too much

Isn't the sleeping bag also nylon? It's just a different version of nylon, thinner, probably softer but still a nylon just like the hammock.

Because the hammock is pulled taught, it has a different feel to it also.

I, too, am uncomfortable directly on the hammock. I just wear a Tshirt and undershorts. Also, it helps t keep the hammock fabric clean a bit longer.

I wear t shirt and shorts in my NX-250. Also don't care for the nylon against my skin and it makes me sweat. BTY the KAQ new river fits the NX very well.

Yep, t-shirt and shorts in the summer, longjohns in the winter.
It isn't that I don't like the feel of the fabric on my skin, but it is easier to roll over, slide around and stuff.

I slept with very little on in my double layer hammock, it was sticky and clammy on my torso, my feet and legs were fine, but not the torso. I will not sleep near naked in my hammock again.

I am not quite sure what was wrong, it felt like a vapor barrier type thing. Half of me was cold and sweaty, uck. I will sleep in something cotton and light weight in the summer from now on.
