Might want to check dutch now for some items for your superfly.

I even picked up some tent poles for mine when I seen this video.

Nice! I just ordered mine a few days ago. Blackbird 1.1 double layer and Superfly both in olive brown. 3 weeks, can't wait! Guess my ENO DN will have to do until then. Already made my auto-tensioning guy lines and spliced up some amsteel for the tarp tie outs to the trees. Just wish I had more stuff to make! Hopefully a DIY underquilt is next, but I'm a bit intimidated by a project like that.

What are you going to do to pass the time until yours comes in? lol

I am not sure how I am going to pass the time. I do want to place an Order with Dutch so I will have everything I need when the tarp gets here. So many choices on how to set the tarp up I am kind of overwhelmed.

@MountainGout, I'm jealous that your tarp will be here tomorrow! This weekend I'm borrowing a small tarp that I'm going to have to finagle into an angle that will hopefully cover me in the rain we're supposed to get. Wish my tarp was going to be here tomorrow haha.

@fiveonomo, Yea there are so many ways to do it. Just go with what seems good for your style. I like knots and playing with rope so I got some amsteel at a local marine store and put an eye splice on one end (and back buried the other) as a simple way to go from the tree to the built in ridgeline on the Superfly.

Then I just made self-tensioning guy lines for the 4 tie outs and will probably do regular ones for the door panels since they will be shorter lines.

I bought cinch buckles from Dutch for my ENO (got poly straps from a $3.50 ratchet strap set from Home Depot) and like that set up, but it's a bit bulky and annoying to deal with all the extra strap so I went with line/strap for the WBBB.

For me, I'm happy about the weight savings with the line/strap, but really did it because I have fun tying knots and feel like I will enjoy setting up my hammock and tarp with the suspension option I chose.

What kind of suspension did you end up going with?

While you are waiting, pick up some Amsteel and make lots of cool stuff. It's like knitting used to be for expectant ladies but makes you pound your chest like Tarzan when you're done.

I have more soft shackles now than I'll ever use.

Rockclimber I went with adjustable webbing, seemed to work and looks real easy.

I got real comfortable in the Yukon Outfitters hammock today, it's seems to be all about finding the spot.
