    Vendors -- more videos please!

I didnt want to dump one else's thread or cause it to drift, but I just wanted to pass along my thoughts on one thing that is sometimes a little frustrating and that is often the lack of videos from cottage industry manufactures.

As a customer, I'll never see your wares on sale at the local outfitter/retailer; I don't even have a local outfitter. I dont get to check out the product before I buy, and so, I spend a lot of time hitting Youtube watching the videos posted there. The customer reviews are great, but what is really missing are the videos from the manufactures.

Sometimes it is really difficult to get a feel for the product and how is should work and be used without getting it straight from the maker.

I agree on this actually, most vendors have great instructions and information easily available but videos of someone showing all the details and what makes their products unique, as well as how to setup would be a great benefit. Plus more folks may see the products on YouTube than normally would.

I would have to agree. I do enjoy the customer reviews, but it would be nice to have videos from the manufactures as well. It would certainly help with my search for a new backpack.

It was Warbonnet's videos that was certainly one reason I chose to buy a Ridge Runner hammock. If there are no vendor videos, especially when there are few customer reviews I tend to pass them up.

I agree that more videos from the cottage vendors would definitely help out potential customers. However, most of the cottage vendors here are very small operations; a couple people at best. So taking the time to produce the videos is a challenge as they are also responsible for the production of their products.

    Cheers

Agreed. It's just real hard to see from the angles sometimes too. And something that looks comfy or rugged feels or looks different in person.

Lucky for us most of the cottage vendors have generous satisfaction guaranty return policies though I've not personally needed to use them yet.
