First Hang, WBBB XLC 1.7 DL

I got to spend last weekend up in the Adirondacks and had my first opportunity to sleep in a hammock. Overall I was pleased with the experience and I feel that with some more nights and adjustments it will only get better. I am 6'4" tall and 260 lbs so the XLC seemed like the best choice. It took very little time to set up after watching Brandon's videos. The second night I dropped the head end, as suggested, to make it more comfortable and indeed did sleep better. I don't have any experience with other hammocks but overall I am very pleased with the XLC and would recommend it.

Very nice. I bought the same hammock this spring and really love it.

Where in the ADKs were you? I live at the southeast corner of the park.

Ahh... you're a paddler! THAT'S the way to travel.

Last fall, my girlfriend and I did a trip on Bog River/Hitchins Pond/Lows Lake. It's southwest of the Seven Carries area. I hope to get back there again this fall.

Last night was my 2nd night in my XLC !.7 (backyard trials) and slept well though in the morning & most of the day have had tingly toes which I think can be attributed to not raising the foot end high enough as suggested here in the forums. Didn't have the problem the 1st night (I had taken in and reset the hammock between hangs). I'm 6'6" and 250lbs. Very happy with the XLC.

Hey, thanks for sharing, love the panoramic! I'm 6'3" and been sleeping in a reg blackbird for a couple of years. They are great hammocks but like any hammock getting the angle that's comfortable for you might take a couple of tries. Tingly toes to me says too tight, maybe try more sag. Ridge line should be slack enough to bend with your fist 90*. Have fun with it!
Tonight I'm howlin' at a foreign moon, might as well be a junkie's spoon.
