My first hang

Hey Hangers,
I decided after a few late nights falling down the rabbit hole of this forum and youtube and... you get the idea, to become a hanger. I bought an ENO double-nest in black and tan, along with grand trunk tree slings. I didn't get a bug sleeve or tarp because i plan on making them, at least the tarp. I will be using my 20 degree kelty cosmic down either as a pod or top quilt going sans an under quilt or pad. My first hang is between two posts of my porch. Not the most auspicious of beginnings but we shall see how it goes i do have a great view of the Manzano's south of Los Lunas New Mexico, Ill take pictures in the morning.

Well thank you, I just got up and am honestly amazed on how comfortable it was. I did end up throwing a old GI sleeping pad under me and had a wool buff on my head and i woke up amazingly comfortable. I do think I need to either invest in or make my own under quilt as the whole experience was almost ruined by a sweaty back and more structure that I wanted in a hammock from the pad. Here's of pic of my rig and the view I woke up to.

Oh yeah I actually won a photography contest in high school just by taking pictures from my porch. It makes up for having to drive for an hour to get to work.
