Welcome aboard from the Bull City. We've got lots of hangers all across the state and there is usually a group gathering of some sort within a couple hours drive almost monthly.

Speaking of group gatherings I got to start planning for Smoked Butt Hang 2014.

Welcome from Knightdale. I grew up near Raven's Rock State Park and can't think of a better place to practice new hammock skills. Good luck!

    Welcome from VA!

This is a great site and you can learn a ton of info. I am new myself and probably would be completely lost without the forums here.

welcome to the madness from down on the coast

I'm hoping to meet some other people and learn more!
Watch Shug's videos and attend a group hang and you will learn alot and nnet the faces behind the posters

I'm sure there are other females on here?
There are lots of female hangers here and many attend the group hangs. My wife (terminator) attends group hangs with me when her work schedule allows.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the warmth! I've never been on a forum like this before, so I'm enjoying reading and trying out new things! I don't have trees in my yard (I'm in an apartment), but I work at my university alma mater, and we have trees allll over campus, so I've been trying different things over the weekend!
