    CA>San Diego/Del Mar> Day hike ideas

I'm heading to San Diego soon for work, and I will probably have some free time to go on a day hike. Any suggestions for someplace nearby?

Lots of places. Torrey Pines State reserve is ocean-bound, and near Del Mar. Great ocean bluff hike. . .

If you want to get into the local mountains (~1 hour drive) There are lots of hikes... How long/far do you want to go?

I have a car and am willing to drive up to maybe an hour. From some quick searching, it looks like Los Peñasquitos Canyon is nearby and a nice hike, but I'm open to suggestions.

+1 on cuyamaca. The state parks have trail maps for $6 I.think.... lots of great hikes... some to old gold mines, too... if you have time, you could borrow my foot and afield in san diego. Big book of hikes all within an hour or less of you. I am 30.minutes away, and next to.mission trails regional.park.. good hikes in there too...
