    Improvement to CF Tarp

Had a chance to repair my tarp from the last hang (my first in rough weather (a small tear because of my inexperience and 40 mph gusts!)) and decided to add ties: half way between ridge line and corners at both ends, 8" of CF 1/2" wide (from scraps) to close ends, which I learned to do last time out (very effective). No pictures because no big deal.

Hey Mike, I'm curious as to what you did to damage you tarp? BTW tie outs are a necessity on bigger tarps IMO.

I pitched it high and wide in a storm with wind gusts of 40 mph, tried to use a poncho as a grizz beak, and the leading edge of this get-up was all bearing on one loop! But even at that the tear was only about 2" and easily repaired. The problem was solved when I changed configuration, pitched it lower, and attached more guy lines.

Added ties on the edge, not tie outs. The ties will allow me to tie it closed in the middle after crossing stake out points to close the doors.
