I just ordered a Claytor jungle hammock. Where can I find snakeskins for it. I'm starting a thru in a couple of weeks so I need them before then. Would Hennesy's work? Thanks

If you are DIY type there are a variety of directions for making them. Some text and one of the We Don'T Sew... We Make Gear vids gives direction s on making the product. "Snakeskin" is a term which Hennessy has claimed is protected by his business venture. Go figure.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Without using the exact terms (since they aren't by Hennessy), I made some tube covers for my Blackbird. Turned out great and easy to do.
I like the term reptilian dermal layer better than tube covers : P
I'm not really the DIY type quite yet.
Pretty much the only commercial source of them is Hennessy then.....unless you want to contract a member to make some for you.
I might be able to make you some. I have 3 colors. Blaze Orange, Navy Blue and a moderately bright green.
Big Suave - your skins are ready! I need a ship to address. Like yesterday if you want them befoe you leave on the trail. I can also send them to Neels Gap for you if that'll work.
Golfer, I can do skins for you. Shoot me a PM and we'll work out a deal.
I understand those that are not quite DIY'ers yet, but making "covers that make your hammock look like it has been eaten by a snake" have to be the next easiest project after simple stuff sacks.
Find material and anyone with a sewing machine, and you can make them in NO TIME. They don't need to be beautiful, they only need to work. For my tarps, I like the ones made of mesh material. I also like to make mine that is one long serpent looking tube.
The harder I work, the luckier I get.
