Does 10.8 lbs include your camera gear? If you were at your climbing weight you could probably hike 50 miles a day.

Sadly no but, I could leave my camera gear at home....... Ok, since we both know that will never happen, my regular camera kit comes in at 5lbs 8oz so my Summer Base Weight is really 16.3lbs.

Ah Ha. So now we know why you are shaving grams on your kit. You just needed a reason to bring that extra long lens in your camera kit.

Impressive getting your base weight minus camera gear down to 10 pounds and some grams.

Even 16.3 pounds is a very good base weight for most.

Of course, who am I to judge on base weight with my canvas condo and wood stove for winter camping.

    Cheers

    Brian

    Deoder-what? Never heard of it.

Looks like a nice set of gear.

I'm still working at getting my non-pack weight down to 210.

Love it. On my way to the wallet sucking point of "that's not good enough and that's too heavy" when I hit 30 lbs and had more to go....not good for a fat old man to try and carry a 40 lb pack.
