Smile Algonquin Park, Ontario, canoe trip w hammock

Hey all, I did a nice 8-night solo canoe trip in Algonquin last week.

I slept in my Warbonnet Ridgerunner, with Lynx underquilt and Hammock Gear summer Burrow topquilt, all under a Warbonnet Cloudburst tarp. I was very comfortable. I think the nighttime lows were as low as 8 or 9 C (high 40s F) and as high as 16 C (60F).

I also brought my WB Edge tarp as a quick shelter for those pop-up thunderstorms.

What I learned: I was sleeping too high in the RR, previously. By sliding lower so my feet were right at the foot end, I found a sweet spot--for me, anyway.

looks like a great trip. Question: Did you kayak paddle the whole way? Or did you have a canoe paddle as well?

Wow great photos! And bumping into Kevin C. to boot, he's great.
Algonquin is on my list of places to return to. Thanks for the report.
    Good luck,

@ggreaves...yeah kayak paddle the whole way. Purists will gasp, but Ya gots ta do what works for you!

@canoeski You're making me jealous. You know I used to live in Thunder Bay and i never once went to Wabakimi. Wasted youth.

@redoleary Actually ran into Mr. Callan twice. Seems like a good guy. He was friendly, and helpful without being pushy or a know-it-all. Probably a good guy to have a beer with.
