    Cheap Poncho Liner

Hey all, I have been looking to make a no-sew PLUQ, and I was wondering where you folks have been finding yours? I have read in a few threads that the ones you use range from ~22-24oz, but the lightest I have found are ranging from 28-32oz. The less expensive the better!

Hmmm, odd; that is where I have been seeing them around 28oz. maybe after I cut off the ties it drops a few oz?

I'm sorry... I was covering the "less expensive" part of the post. I can't help with the weight part

I cut mine in half to make a summer quilt and it weighed about 13oz with suspension.

    Re: Cheap Poncho Liner

My local surplus store sells used ones for $20... some are in better shape than others.... options are digital camo or Vietnam era jungle camo... occasionally I find one that is nice and fluffy...

My local surplus store has them for around $26, maybe I will end up taking my scale in there and weighing a few

The surplus stores around here want way too much $$$ for theirs plus they are in poor condition.

I have bought my via EBay

We have a dad in our Scout troop that sells surplus gear. We are about two weeks out from our first meeting of the year. I will see what he has and get his contact info. He had a ton of them last year.

I get mine mostly from Sportsman's Guide. More than what the above are quoting though, around 24-28.00...I get coupons and other things since I buy so much of their "junk."

    Take it easy,
