Nope. I've done the same thing with two 2x2"s bolted together on one end, but of course without the ability to break it down so small.

Nope but I made one from bamboo for free, it worked well.

I've done like the others. Made it.
You need good dry soil for the anchor to hold. I had a 3/4" piece of rebar, 20" long that pulled loose and shot past my head. Pretty scary.
Anchor to a small tree or bush down low if possible. Or multiple anchors.
