NC>Middle Prong, Radical underquilt unveil, banana muffin:

We did an overnighter in the Middle Prong Wilderness but first we met up with FIMB and a project he took on for me, something he has been dialing in for quite some time-it will change the way I look at and use underquilts; it saves weight, eliminates 'dial-in', suspension fiddle factor and any possibility or gaps.
We got to hang in an incredible spot a ground dweller could never consider. Also, closer to PhillipStart in the realm of lightweight baking on the trail:

As always, excellent report. Muffins for breakfast could entice me to study backcountry baking.

Here are some egg rings, MM. I wish I could have stuck around for the rest of your trip, but I had more to do at home. I'm glad everything worked out well for you.

A big thanks to Just Jeff, WV, and Detail Man for insights and prior postings to help inspire this project.

Your location looked so cool & inviting. It was so hot where we were this weekend so all we could do was stay wet in the river!

What about my brain, do you want that too? lol It might not be much good for info, but it would be good as a paper weight. A very nice, wet, fun looking area you were hiking in. I can send you some egg rings, if you can’t find any. Those chairs are pretty cool. Nice, but noisy camp site. A part from it not being long enough, a most enjoyable trip report, MedicineMan, thank you!

I've got this one marked to watch later tonight. Looking forward to it. I heard a rumor there some dry baking included.

That banana muffin looks like a winner to me. Baking paper helps a lot. I like the idea of taken the baking paper up the sides. I might try this on my next overnight hike.

The egg rings are common here in Australia. It's amazing we have something here that you don't in the states, how strange is that. Normally it's the other way around.

I think just about all my hiking gear is from the states.

Love watching your trip reports, especially with the dry baking. I don't think I will ever leave on a hike now, without my dry baking kit.

MM as usual great video. Have you tried steam baking vs. dry baking? I wonder which one is quicker and better or personal preference. Thanks for sharing.

Just kidding! Fire in my Bones: that's a neat underquilt you made. Could be a game-changer.

Thanks for the great report, MM!
