Ridgeline bag

Looking for plans on ridgeline bags. I have some left over bug net and wanted to make a few bags out of it. I have hit search and haven't found to many plans.

I want to make a version for my hammock and a version for my popup camper when going with the family. I found out 2 weekends ago I had no place to put some pain meds , small flashlight and cell phone . I could see maybe putting a couple of other small items in the bag on top of the others. This pic is my first attempt I just don't know if the velcro is strong enough to go over a bed end bar of the popup. I am thinking I should add some material on the ends for strength for the popup version. I also don't want the opening to flop open.

They're not even really something that needs a pattern.

I make mine by starting with a 14" tall piece of fabric, by however wide you want it (depends on pockets) For arguments sake, lets say 18"

Roll hem all 4 sides

Sew 1" channel in the top for your RL to pass through.

Fold up the bottom edge until it meets the bottom of the channel, sew along the 2 sides, making one giant pocket. Divide as needed.

The end result is a 7" tall RL Organizer, with 6" deep pockets

I tend to make mine have a pocket for my RX meds, my kindle, and a flashlight :-)

If you want them to be removable without messing with the RL, I find it far easier to use 2 mitten hooks (one on each top corner of the bag) and a Prusik knot wherever your attaching it to.

If you simply want a bag, I'd still use a mitten hook and a Prusik

How does the mitton hook and Prusik work not following on how you attach that ? ON the ridgeline I can see the mitton hook with clip on to the line but what about going around a one inch pole in a camper. any pics?

Did you just use the instructions from above? Do anything different? Im about to make one out of some leftover noseeum net so any help you can give would be great.

After making this one I found a better design from looking at some papa smurf hammocks in Ludington. I want to add a water bottle holder and double set of pockets like papa smurfs. I wonder if he will share the design?
