    Clark upgrading poles

Just ordered an NX-250 today and got an email from Clark asking if I'd be willing to wait a bit as they're upgrading the flexible poles that come with the hammock.

I'd heard the existing poles are a bit of a pain, not being shock corded or anything, and people were swapping them out for other options... hopefully the change will make a difference and improve what is already an amazing piece of gear. Can't wait to get mine!

I just got my NX 150 two weeks ago and nothing was said.
    Must have barely missed it.

I'll update here with what I end up receiving. Depending on the changes it may be worth you contacting them and asking about it. My dealings with Clark Customer Service have always been great.

I just placed a order today and recived a email asking if I wanted to wait until next week for my order to ship with the upgraded poles. I said no but I did want the upgraded poles so they shipped my order and told me to contact them in a week or two and they will send me a set of the new poles at no cost.
    Great CS

I wish I would have thought of that arrangement. I suppose a one week delay won't kill me ... though it might.

I ordered a TX-250 yesterday and the only e-mail I have received was the Purchase/Confirmation statement.

And now I see the NX-150 I just got has been put on sale and lowered $100.00!!!!!!!!
Nothing was said to me about these going on sale.
That irritates me a little bit.

I asked on the phone with Clark if their hammocks ever go on sale and was told "No, not really" when I bought my NX-250 back in late spring and I felt the same pangs. At least a few more folks are going to be able to afford an awesome shelter system. That Clark Jungle Hammocks might not be getting the respect that IMHO they deserve in the "community" brothers me more.

I got the following email from them:

    "Hello James M,

We are celebrating 15 years of junglehammock.com with 25% off every
hammock model in our online store until Monday, August 19. We
thought you might want to know about it because we've never had a
sale before, and it may not happen again anytime soon.

All the best from your friends at the Clark Jungle Hammock Co.
    "

    So...better hurry I guess? I have two, so I'm covered I think.
