There's also a RAD sledding spot at Frog Lake! I'm bringing my flat sled for that if we choose Frog Lake.

Clear Lake is my vote even though it's not on the list.
You can park at the Skyline SnoPark and take the snowmobile trail in (I did this earlier this year...after doing the cross-country route with GaryR, I went back and found the easier route) about a mile and a half or so. There are privies that are open, and there are fire rings if you can find them in the snow, with metal grills. Lots of great trees to hang from too, and plenty of campsites to spread out of you want. Trail report here: http://wenthiking.com/users/140-rene...ckpacksnowshoe
Not a lot of snowmobile traffic, and when I was there in February, there were maybe two other campsites full of people and they left shortly after we arrived.
I'm hoping my work schedule works out so I can attend...

Sounds like it will be me and my step son this time around. Hopefully we will have enough warmth stuff to make this happen.

Walked out to the garage yesterday and got the pulk out of the rafters... Gonna start getting it ready... new mounting brackets this year and looking into the fiberglass poles instead of the PVC I have now...
Man.. I am ready for the winter hang already...
C'mon old man winter.. bring it on!

I'm totally new to the hammock thing. Just picked up a Hennessy Expedition a couple of weeks ago. I'm super pumped for this trip. Now I just need to save up for a better sleeping bag....
I know it's a way out but since I don't have a car, I'll need to try to hitch a ride from someone. I'm in NE Portland BTW.
