It is possible to live in cold weather. You also have to be a little crazy to do it. Not sure if anyone younger than Tyler or you are coming.

trying to convince my mom to bring me for 2 nights, need your help PLEEEEZ!!

I dunno. I've been doing this for years and my mom still thinks I'm cheating death every time I sleep in a hammock in the woods--much less in winter. Do you need help convincing her to let you do it at all or to stay 2 nights instead of 1? If it's the latter, then my argument is that the first night is just a trial run ;-) And, if you don't move your hammock, then you're dividing the work of setting it up in half.

Played with rigging sleeping bags as makeshift UQs, without modifying the bag at all.

I used a cheap Wally bag, 3/16th bungee, 6 binder clips, and 2 S-biners. I think we can get away with 4 binder clips, though. Anyway, I'll bring a couple for supplimenting.

Simple implementation, but fun! HEE!!
