    Double nest ridgeline

How does one determine the correct ridgeline length for a double nest? Guidelines? I'm 6'4", and about 235 lbs.

It is good to be able to play around with this before you set in stone. However many people multiply the over all length by .87 to come up with the ridgeline length. Good place to start anyhow.

Buy one of the adjustable ridge lines. I forget where I got mine, but it works well. And you can change it if you need to.

I got an adjustable one from Dutchware. It's set to 100" on my doublenest. Seems about right for me.

I'd say to determine the correct ridgeline length you need to make a ridgeline and use your hammock with it adjusted to different lengths to find the best setting for you. Like with a lot of these things, people are going to tell you what works for them but you need to get out and do it for yourself to "dial things in". Dutch gave you a good starting point.

I did a little length of utility cord with a loop in one end and a taut line hitch on the other to adjust it until I found a comfortable length. Now I get a great hang all the time.

+1 on the adjustable ridgeline. I jut added one to my DN last weekend and it made setup a little quicker plus my hang was right on the money.

I put an adjustable ridgeline on my Doublenest and marked an 87% length mark with a permanent marker. This helps you get an idea of where you're going with your adjustments....
