I had a package waiting for me when I got home today from work. It was my Tadpole door kit. Marty and I have been talking about a door kit for a while, so I was pretty excited to finally get to check it out. The kit weighed in at 3.5oz on my scale. This is actually one of the first sets, so a couple of the features you will see here have already been tweaked a bit.
The door kit installs pretty easily. It attaches to the same loops that are used for the tie outs with a simple toggle (the toggle is one of the tweaks I was referring to). In my pics I'm using a small s-biner.
There is a bit of shock cord that runs to the other end of the tarp and connects to the ridgeline with a mitten hook clip.
Marty put some small strips of velcro where the doors come together. This is a really nice touch because it really seals up the end.
The Tadpole was already my favorite tarp, but with the addition of the door kit, I'm confident I can handle just about anything that Mother Nature can throw my way.
