Haven't had a chance to test them in rain, but I'm very confident that anything on that side will stay dry. You will get probably get some dripping at the tie outs, but I don't see any way that rain could come in through the overlap.

On a side note....I've been through many good storms with just the tadpole and stayed nice and dry, the door kit is just for a little extra security.

Is there anything wrong if we hang the hammock a little looser?

Its best to hang the tarp on its own ridgeline independent of your hammock so that the tarp does not sag when you get in the hammock. If you do it that way, it doesn't matter how you hang your hammock.

Camo Door arrived...faster than Marty said it would.

Can't say enough about how quickly Marty gets this stuff out. I was told it would ship today or tomorrow and it arrived today. Thanks, and it looks great.

So, of course, as soon as possible I went out and set it up. So easy, a caveman could do it. Oh wait, that has already been done.

Some things I found. If you go around the grossgrain on the tarp corner from the outside first and then back around, push the toggle through after going around it gets a really tight connection. Stops any flopping.

Second, it looks great battened down for a storm. Very clever design. I also rigged it in porch mode and you get about 3/4 coverage on the porch side. I wanted to show you a picture, but you have to wait for camera battery to charge. Sorry.

Also, it is no matter to me, but I know some folks are fussy about these things. When the manufacturer made the new camo run, it has a little greener hue than the tarp I have. (Which I think was the first run of the material Marty used.) So, if you are particular, you may want to ask Marty to make your tarp and doors out of the same run of material. Both blend it quite nicely in the woods. It is a really nice camo pattern. I usually make a point of not being all matchy; so the duck dynasty boys will have me to dinner.
If it moves, you can eat it. No promises you will think it tastes good.

Awesome! I really like the simplicity of it, and the fact that you don't need a lot of extra stakes. Looks good.

I really like the doors. Extremely fast and easy to attach to the tarp.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

That porch mode idea is right up my alley for sure! The Tad Pole was going to be my next purchase from Marty and now I might need to add some doors to it!
