Be careful with modifications on your WBBB

yikes, i just switched mine out and have had zero problems. sorry, i hope there's an easy fix.

I purchased my WBBB with cinch-buckle suspension.
I made my first set of whoop-slings and attached them to the cinch buckles (as I wasn't ready to make a permanent switch).
I have also been using the cinch buckles for attachment points for the UQ, hammock sock, etc.

I am ready now, and appreciate your 'heads-up' on this potential problem.

Sound to me like the ridgeline was not captured by the whoopie, but it is hard to tell unless you have some pics?

I have talked to this guy via email and it seem that the whoopie he installed wasn't cinched down tight and slipped off the end when he weighted it the very first time, tightening it down by hand first is suggested. 99.9% of the time it would tighten itself the first time it was weighted, but if it was really loose on there this can apparently happen, first time i've heard of it though. Just sit carefully the first time after you change out a suspension to make sure it's taking your weight.

Yup, we got the whole thing resolved over e-mail. Good customer service and quick replies.

unfortunate my friend. something similar happened my eno. Someone put fire crackers under my old ENO as a practical joke. When I realized what was happening i sat up. The sparks were flying under my hammock and were burning me but I did not react so that they would have less satisfaction.

It ended with a large thumb sized burn near the one end of my hammock. The burn turned into a rip. The end result is that a foot of nylon is missing from my ENO. To repair it I tied a knot in the hammock right before the tare. It seems to hold weight ok but will never be as comfortable.

Hopefully you can do the same to yours. If you do not want it you can send it to me. Ill pay for the shipping. I really hate to waste anything. So my thought is that it can be salvaged. Good luck to you.

Dang...I hope you aren't very tall. That's gotta be a pretty short hammock now.
