Can I be next in line??
Color doesn't matter, although I prefer earth colors over the bright in your face ones...
And yes, I know that shipping is going to kill me, I just grimace and bear the price of having to live in Canada.

I'm throwing my money at my iPhone but nothing is happening. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong?

"But hey, 2 trees anywhere is a bedroom waiting to happen, right?"
Well, the first two "production" pcs have been shipped to Trambo.aka.sail1987 & pebbles. That used up the last of my leftover Formica, so I'm ordering more. Gonna stick with a rustic / earthy look, since that seems to be the consensus.
We'll see what the response is once a few of these hit the trail, thanks for the interest.

While I told you time of no concern, now that it's in the works, I'm excited and can't wait...
Aside from sleeping more comfortably, not having to crawl around on the ground was the second most important reason to start hanging.
I hang, the pack hangs and pretty soon, my kitchen will hang as well!!
I plan on using this for many things.
Hold my music or lights or my tea.
I too am excited.
I am a bit skeptical about Formica because I only think
of old kitchens and not camping gear. Can't wait to be blown away.
Any idea how much weight this can hold?
I also thought of a metal and Formica hybrid.
The shelf can be metal and rest of support Formica.
Can minimize weight and cost increase this way.
This will be displayed at the Fairfield Texas group hang
in November, so you might get some exposure from first hand experiences.
I will be sure to get a cut as your agent, lol. Just kidding.
One question, if ground fits are prohibited, does this bypass that rule?
Do you ever worry about burning the tree?
I assume that you must choose one without too low of branches.
Also, I wonder if a wood stove us safe with a pad, or if just
alcohol because of the way heat radiates.
Hey Trambo,
Haven't assigned a weight limit, but the shelf is pretty sturdy and will hold whatever you can fit on it. Obviously its designed small enough to pack, so I wasn't worried about someone trying to plop a microwave on it.
I too was wondering about a hybrid or an all-out aluminum version, but I simply don't have the tooling to make all the complex bends and folds that an aluminum version would require. Subbing this out to a metal shop would be cost prohibitive.
As for the wood stove, yes, I've used mine on it, but only with the stove pad and a foil heat shield around the pot. I think a simple aluminum foil heat shield should be used for either an alky or wood stove, to focus the heat on the pot and not on the shelf or tree.
Very cool about the Texas hang... lemme know what the response is!
Thanks,

dude, that thing is cool. Nice work!!!
First off. I got my new UL tree shelf today when I got home from work. And I'd like to say thanks one more time to Klaussinator. This thing is sweet.
Setup really wasn't all that bad, it took maybe 2-3 min to figure out how all the lines got wrapped and held into place. I haven't set it up on an actual tree yet but when I do get around to testing it for real I'll get some pictures.
It is a great addition to my camp kitchen and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again Klauss.
Just got mine today also. Not hard to figure out how to
put it together. Once I figured out to flip the backstop
it was simple.
Seems nice and study but have yet to do a true test.
