Last night was first night using DIY TQ and UQ in a backyard test. Temps got to mid 50's, and all I can say is I was warm and cozy throughout the whole night. Even a little to warm when I first went to bed and had to vent some. Very happy with results and looking forward for colder temps to really test it out.
Way to go. Sounds like you have some soft cozy goodness there. Hope it exceeds your expectations.

Great job - anything made with camo is a good thing.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Hey; Looks great. I guess i missed this post. Back in the early summer i made a TQ or Woobie. It is rectangular , 2.0 clima covered in some breathable nylon i got at DIY GEAR. Its my summer TQ. Took it down to 50F.

Yeah, I thought about the 2.5 clima from thruhiker, but decided to go with the 5.0 because I'm a cold sleeper. I'm thinking this one should get me well down to the 30's. Only thing I'm thinking about changing to the quilt is adding a snap and draw cord to the top, so I can cinch it around my shoulders.
Mine won't go down to the 30's,,, or 40's i don't think. That's alright because it was made for summer and i already have a Hudson River for spring and fall. I thought about putting a snap and drawstring on mine but for now have decided not to because it is for summer use and not that critical. You have a versatile TQ there,,,good job.

Another test hang last night with TQ. Got to 45 and stayed warm all night. This time I used my DIY hammock rather than my Blackbird and I have to say my UQ fit much better.
