    My tripods were lashed correctly and held up perfectly. The hammocks were suspended from just outside the lashing that held the top rail, against the lashing. We were at a camporee and the sights were really tight. The boys were the two adults own kids also. I wonder if we were to use a separate line to hang the hammock from the tripod and not actually hang from the conduit. The conduit is only there to prevent the tripods from tipping in. Back to the drawing boards.

    Hanging from the ridgepole is correct, don't hang directly from the tripods.

    Lowes has pressure treated 2x2x8' for 3 something a piece.
