Old Logger's Path 8/16 - 8/18

Finally got around to trying out the Old Logger's Path in the Loyalsock State Forest in Lycoming county PA. My son (Tinkr) and I were looking to get out on the trail before he heads back to college and have been wanting to hike this one for a while based on a recommendation by Eagle Eye. We headed up Thursday night and got to the Masten ghost town after midnight then crashed in the hammocks. Had beautiful weather all weekend - low 80s during the day and 45 - 50s degrees at night. This trail was beautiful and some of the highlights included swimming in the mountain streams, blackberries along the trail, butterflies, finding a fox skull, mountain vistas, Rock Run, and of course spending quality time with Tinkr

Nice pictures! I can't wait to get up there. Between your trip report and yooz I just want to pack up and go now. I'm afraid we won't be able to stop the frackers and we might lose a gorgeous piece of wilderness. Glad you and your son had a great weekend!

Great pictures your two got! I really like that trail a lot, it's just a nice stroll through the woods with plenty to see. I really hope this trail stays intact it would be a shame if we lose it. thanks for the report!

Thanks - seeing your great video the other week did the trick - after seeing that we wanted to see this trail first hand
