the warbonnet buckles can be tricky, but it still only takes a few seconds to adjust. i still think it's the easiest suspension out there.

I find the stock webbing basically the same as a backpack shoulder strap. There's just a lot more tension so you need to relieve that before tightening or loosening.

That said, I also have more than a dozen and a half pairs of cinch buckles deployed and they lock up plenty tight so long as you;

1) use a quality strap (as can be purchased from any one of the cottage vendor, instead of say, something off Amazon that turns out to be stretchy nylon instead of polyester as advertised)

2) make sure they oriented correctly (don't let them twist by having a single loop of amsteel slipping to one corner) - the Warbonnet triangle does not have this issue

Not without impacting delivery times he won't

Tried to talk him out of 100 triangles but I couldn't risk the wrath of angry HF'rs forced to wait for Warbonnet Outdoors stuff. Not enough money to risk that.

I like/use the triangles and I like/use the buckles, both solid solutions.

I'm a rigger, it's sort of against my religion to not tie knots.

So maybe I need to revisit... My issue / challenge is with the triangle buckles, and getting one pushed far enough apart to release webbing. Tightening up isn't a problem. I just don't seem to be coordinated enough to pull the two pieces apart, and then release webbing.

*sigh* I'll head back to watch the video again.

If it helps, I had the same suspension for a WBBB until a week ago. I would release tension off the strap (ie lift the hammock a bit) and using one hand slide the triangles in opposite directions like you were spreading a fan with thumb and forefinger (rather than trying to create space between them). That seemed to break the tension enough to loosen the straps.

I'm having the same issue. I figured that like anything, it will take some getting used to. (My WBBB is new; been using Whoopie Slings for a few years on my other hammocks.)
