Thanks for the offer. Much appreciated. I do think, however, that I'll rent a light canoe for the weekend. And, if I can't scare up a paddling partner, I'll get a solo and probably kayak paddle it (or at least bring one with me in case it's real windy). How many more sleeps?

    Twenty more sleeps.

Nobody worry about partnering up. It'll get settled and worked out, usually does.

It's about time to book off those days so it couldn't hurt to start to finalize the details.

You asked if anyone was looking for a Bow paddler so I wasn't aware that was an option. I however am strictly a Bow paddler as I have never steered a canoe and have no intention to during such a trip.

If you still need a second I'd be more then happy to.

    Hi all.

To help us get organised can I get everyone planning on coming to please list their lake canoeing skills on each of the bow/stern simply Novice (0 trips), Rookie (only couple of trips) or Veteran. ie..

    Chard: (V/V)

If there's already a full canoe (for example Chard/Bubba and I'm assuming 80083r/+1 and Hotone/Plusone (correct me if I'm wrong), please indicate so. Hopefully we'll be able have a veteran stern on each canoe.

Going solo? Don't bother unless you want.

    R/N

I've also never had to portage a canoe before.

My canoe stats are R(3)/N hoping to gain some more experience to level up!

Beautiful weather in the park this weekend though I'm looking forward to not being responsible for students 24/7.

Friday night was woken up at 2 am with a medical emergency then having to deal with parents and the schools principal so I'm looking forward to a trip where I can sleep through the night.

Will post a trip report when I have better reception.

P.s. I'm planning to solo but if we really get stuck for people to stern...

    Thumbs up

I just found the thread the other day, so I joined the forum. I got a hammock this summer for a bike tour and enjoyed it. I have been looking to do other activities with it.

I would be interested in joining this excursion to AP if that is okay? I have all the camping gear but do not have a canoe, I can rent one if required but would prefer to have a paddle partner rather than solo. I am near Peterborough if someone would like to share a ride (I have a van), canoe, etc..... you can PM me to discuss any details.

Would love to join ya .
