I am planning to be at the West Gate for 8am on Thursday. Not sure how long it will take me to solo into Pen , but I imagine I will we the first there. Should I put a site in my name as well? I don't imagine it would hurt if we had three... would it?

It looks like we're getting rain at some point. I can bring an extra tarp. I'll also have an axe and a saw. Any other group gear needed?

Finishing off the last of the food dehydrating (it'll probably all reconstitute in the canoe on the way there). My Thursday itinerary is:

    1. Drive up to Madawaska and pick up canoe 1pm.
    2. Meet Kasuko (and Jayson and Tracy?) at Rock Lake put-in, load up canoe(s) 2:30-3pm.
    3. Paddle down Rock together and help Jayson and Tracy portage their stuff.
    4. Arrive at Pen Lake island campsite #5 to meet Iguana who will be pelting any approaching canoes not bearing hammocks with stones and sarcasm. 5pm
    5. Use remaining daylight to pitch tarps, set up campsites

I'll have a communal tarp and paracord, as well as bread for the goulash. I'm bringing a Platypus gravity fed 2 micron water filter that filters 4 liters in about 2 minutes. Really looking forward to meeting everyone.

Beef will be coming out of the freezer on Thursday night, do you want me to trim it and cut it into cubes, or do you want to use the saw once we get there?

Sounds like things are coming together, but in the greatest EGL tradition, it appears that we're in for a rather moist weekend. I can only assume that the glorious weather Algonquin's been having over the last few weeks has just been a ruse and she'll get rid of all that annoying blue skies, sunshine and warmth in time for us to hang in true EGL style. Oy! If you've got an extra tarp, it probably wouldn't hurt to bring it along. That and soups/hot drinks and extra socks.

If I get a choice, pre-trimmed/cut would be great, thanks.

I'm wondering if 2 permits will be fine. A third would just be to secure the area. Iguana, Jayson, Ggreaves(?): Would it be possible to text us your reservation numbers when get them? Alternatively you can leave a note with the Rangers saying there'll be additional people coming in on your permits.

To make it easy on the Rangers, can we say that Iguana, Chard, Bubba, Hotone, Hottwo, Rofo and Wolvaroo, Keg and Quiet try to go on Permit 1 and Jayson, Tracey, Kasuko, Ggreaves, 80083r and Toots go on Permit 2. We'll all be camping side by side anyways, so it shouldn't matter much who's where.

    Roll Call - Thursday (5):
    - Iguana (Early) - Permit #1
    - Jayson/The Boss (Late day) - Permit #2
    - Kasuko/Ggreaves (Late day) - Permit #3?

    Roll Call - Friday (8):
    - Chard/Bubba
    - Hotone/Hottwo
    - Rofo/Wolvaroo
    - Keg
    - Quiet

    Roll Call - Saturday (2):
    - 80083r/Toots

    Hey all!

    I'm back in!

I know, I know... y'all thought you'd got rid of me, well too bad!

I'll be heading in Thursday midday, pending canoe rental arrangements, and will see you all there!

Adding me back on the itinerary shouldn't be a problem? I don't think we filled up both sites.

How are we looking on group items/tarps? from what I read in here it seems like we should be fully equipped.

Cool and wet...gotta love it. Gonna be bringing my 9x9 ketly noah along. I have a grill but dont think it is enough for your big pot Chard. Most sites seem to have a selection of grills left behind so we should be ok.

Chenvre I will text you thursday noonish so we can all meet up and paddle in together. See ya there.
