I just got back yesterday from my 4th trip into the Massasauga Park this summer. The first 3 trips were amazing as usual. This last trip was amazing for other reasons. I'm still drying out gear from monsoon like conditions and the worst lightning storm I've been out in since I left Thunder Bay. You could literally feel the electrical charge in the air. I was scared spitless...
I should have everything dry by the 18th, so count me in. I'm open for wherever it's decided.
Chard, thanks for getting the ball rolling.
Q.
Hmmm... I'm new here - but this sounds like fun
What are the rules on bringing a non-hanger? he's a fun guy, but he's stuck on tents (silly person).
I'd like to bring my wife also - she just got her hammock yesterday but october might be a little cool for her.
The tent guy does all the dishes and carries all our gear on the portages.
No problem in my books if they come. The more they see the truth, the more likely they are to join the cult.
I wish...I really like Ontario. As a US guy, I stay in the parks only, but man-o-man what parks!!
The road to success is always under construction.

Ha, he'll have to carry his tent and gear and half of my (borrowed) super heavy roto-molded canoe.
My son just got back from a 10 day / 100 km trip in Algonquin. We spent the evening taking turns "portaging" our canoe around the back yard. It's an old fibreglass beast the weighs a ton. Might have to rent something a bit lighter and from this millenium for the trip. Really looking forward to the trip. I made an IX UQ the other night to supplement my Jarbidge.
A lotta ins... lotta outs... lotta what-have-you's
