Long Time Reader, First Time Poster

I'm a new member of the forums, but have read hundreds of hours on the site over the last few years. Made my first DIY hammock from cleareace table fabric about two years ago. My daughters are now 5 and 7 and are very interested in the hammock camping experience as well as getting into backpacking. Now, I have the DIY bug bad. The wealth of knowledge and experience from this forum has been and will continue to be invaluable as I expand my hammock camping horizons. Thank you to all those members willing to take the time to share their experiences and give advice.

A few more backyard trials and we plan on camping at the Red River Gorge and then maybe a weekend backpack trip before it gets too cold.

Welcome! Awesome set up and the little ones look like they love it. See you around.

Welcome to the forums from Indiana! Nice work.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Hey mrekab. I definitely know about long time readers.
I read for almost three years before I registered.
This is something that people here do not account for.
They judge by join date, but tgat is not tge best way.

I believe character not age always speaks volumes my friend.. I am also new and appreciate the rate of new hangers that join this forum daily. Glad to see the community continue to grow. My 11 year old shares the same passion with me and I am greatful. My 2.5 and 1.5 years olds will hopefully soon follow. Happy hangin and cheers!
